I’ve been able to perform different lab techniques ranging from the basic grunt work of the average undergraduate student to the more glamorous (at least to me) and interesting techniques within the lab. I’ve learned to extract DNA, analyze DNA using a program called Nanodrop 2000, perform Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR), create agarose gels, run gel electrophoresis, analyze bands found through gel electrophoresis, and dissect mouse embryos.
